About
Malachi Mitchell was born and raised in Queens, New York. In high school, he developed a passion for poetry after joining writing clubs. It was through this that Malachi found an outlet for self-expression.
Malachi studied creative writing at Binghamton University, receiving his bachelor’s degree in 2021. During his four years there, Malachi played a huge role in forming the institution’s only magazine that focused on the perspectives of minority students. The magazine, PRISM, was where Malachi first gained experience in writing for a digital publication.
After graduating, Malachi wrote for NYCTastemakers. There, he served as a writer and an editor. He wrote many articles that focused on a wide array of topics but also edited the work of his fellow writers. He also curated playlists and posted to the publication’s social networks as well. Currently, Malachi is writing for Worldwide Magazine and Half Moon while continuing to grow his own media brand, GOLDEN Kids NYC.
